That '70s Show is one of the most beloved sitcoms of the 2000s. So much so, that it has already inspired a revival on Netflix, That '90s Show. However, nothing can emulate the great chemistry among the cast of the original series. With hilarious dialogue, original storylines, and amazing character development, few sitcoms can reach the standard of That '70s Show.
While the great majority of the episodes of That '70s Show are amazing — except for Season 8, of course — there are ones that stand above others because of their great dialogue, incredibly funny jokes, and iconic moments. Fans have some That '70s Show episodes that they never get tired of rewatching.
10 "Baby Don't You Do It" Features a Star Wars Icon

After a pregnancy scare, Eric and Donna's parents forced them to go to premarital counseling at the church. It was, of course, Hyde's suggestion, which makes the situation even more hilarious. Donna, surprisingly, is all for it. To her surprise, however, the pastor who guides them is a big Star Wars fan, and Eric and Pastor Dan end up bonding over it.
What makes this scene truly hilarious is the fact that the pastor is played by Billy Dee Williams, the iconic actor who portrayed Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars franchise. While most That '70s Show fans prefer the iconic earlier episodes, this one shows that the charisma of the actors and the chemistry of the series are still there in later seasons.

Debra Jo Rupp Didn't Know That '70s Show Was Set in the '70s
That '70s Show star Debra Jo Rupp reveals that she didn't know the series took place in the 1970s because of the Fox sitcom's original title.
Much as the title suggests, the Formans forget Kitty's birthday, which is a terrible thing to do in that household. Red, who is always the most protective husband (especially because he doesn't want Kitty nagging him), punishes Eric, even though he also forgot. The two end up having to go square dancing with Kitty to redeem themselves.
Despite the Formans' terrible negligence towards the always considerate Kitty, the episode is incredibly funny. Red spends the whole time sending the most hilarious sarcastic remarks towards his son, which is exactly why people love Red. What's more, it is one of the few times that Kitty stands up for herself. However, the episode ends on a wholesome note with Red and Eric finally doing something Kitty loves.
8 "That '70s Musical" Is a Charming Episode That Develops Fez More as a Character
Season: | Episode: | Title: | IMDb Score: |
---|---|---|---|
4 | 24 | "That '70s Musical" | 7.1 |
"That '70s Musical" is a controversial episode among the That '70s Show fandom. However, the episode is a jewel of the series, a unique occasion for the cast to flex their singing skills to iconic bands from the '70s, such as The Carpenters, Peaches & Herb, and The Turtles.
Understandably, many consider a musical episode a little bit cheesy, but for those who enjoy a little corniness in their sitcoms, "That '70s Musical" is an amazing episode to rewatch. Of course, the whole thing happens in Fez's head, but a musical still adds a certain charm to the show, elevating the '70s vibe. The episode is also amazing as it delves into Fez's insecurities and motivations, as his character is often ignored.
7 The Gang Develops Further in "Halloween" Amidst Hilarious Jokes
Season: | Episode: | Title: | IMDb Score: |
---|---|---|---|
2 | 5 | "Halloween" | 8.1 |
Halloween specials are some of the most iconic sitcom episodes, and That '70s Show isn't an exception. In "Halloween," the gang goes out looking for ghosts in their burned old school, but instead they find the ghosts of their pasts in their old permanent records. They find out that Kelso repeated first grade, that Jackie's middle name is Beulah, and that Eric was to blame for the first time Hyde got in trouble.
The episode is both funny and nostalgic. It lets the audience know a little bit more about the beloved characters. Jackie hides the less "classy" parts of herself, Kelso had a harder time with school than people thought, and Hyde could have been an excellent student at one time. These characters contain multitudes, and this Halloween episode proves it.

Why Ashton Kutcher's Kelso Left That '70s Show
Though Ashton Kutcher didn't stick around to see That '70s Show to its end, the series can certainly be credited for launching the actor to stardom.
"Ice Shack" follows Kelso as he tries to win over Jackie by taking her on a trip to an ice shack. He lures in Eric and Donna, telling them that it is a cabin, but the place turns out to be horrible. While Kelso tries to copy everything Eric and Donna do, he fails. In the meantime, Fez demonstrates that he could be a better boyfriend than Kelso. Fez makes Jackie and Kelso compete against Donna and Eric on a pop quiz. However, he creates very difficult questions for Kelso, trying to trick him. Surprisingly, Kelso answers all the questions, showing that he cares more about Jackie than he usually shows.
This episode is truly funny. It includes Kelso's iconic quote, "Well, damn, Jackie, I can't control the weather!" when she says she's cold and wants Kelso to give her his jacket. Still, while Kelso can be dim-witted and inconsiderate at times, this episode shows that he's also sweet.
5 "Misty Mountain Hop" Is Hilarious on Many Levels
Season: | Episode: | Title: | IMDb Score: |
---|---|---|---|
5 | 12 | "Misty Mountain Hop" | 8.0 |
While Jackie is the rich girl in the group, she loses most of her money when her dad is indicted. She's responsible for cleaning out their ski cabin. She keeps this information from Hyde, who decides to take advantage of the cabin for drinking with Kelso and Fez. At the same time, Red and Kitty go with Jackie to help her clean. The whole thing is hilarious when both parties meet at Jackie's house.
This episode is full of iconic scenes, like when Kelso gets his hand stuck in a vase as he tries to hide his weed from Red. Kelso couldn't get his hand out of the vase because he wouldn't let go of the weed. The last scene is also hilarious: after Eric and Donna had gotten lost, they went back to the house and had sex on the kitchen table. However, Red and Kitty returned sooner than they expected. The episode is not only funny but insightful, as it looks into Jackie's family life and her loneliness.
4 "Canadian Road Trip" Is a Masterpiece in Comedy
Season: | Episode: | Title: | IMDb Score: |
---|---|---|---|
3 | 23 | "Canadian Road Trip" | 8.2 |
"Canadian Road Trip" is an episode full of shenanigans. Red insists on getting a VCR to tape their episodes, while Kitty simply wants to watch them while they're on air. What's worse, he forgets to insert the tape in the VCR. Jackie is lured into giving money to a fake modeling agency. Donna proves that the agency is a scam when the agency says Donna could also be a model. In the meantime, the rest of the members of the gang go to Canada to buy beer, but immigration stops them on their way back when Fez can't find his green card.
All of the storylines in "Canadian Road Trip" have the audience in stitches, but the Canada one is the reason the episode is so popular among the fandom. When the Mounties interrogate every member of the gang about Fez, all of them except for Eric give absurd and hilarious answers that have become iconic.

9 Ways That ‘90s Show Is Worse Than That ‘70s Show
Although That '90s Show includes some nostalgia for fans of the original series, the sequel hasn't reached the same success as That '70s Show.
When Kelso receives $100 from his grandma, he invites the whole gang to a fancy restaurant. His friends think he is going to pay with that money, but he always planned to dine and dash, as the name of the episode suggests. Of course, everyone is against the idea, and the episode follows them as they argue over it and try to find a solution.
What ends up happening is that everyone eventually finds a way of escaping, and dining and dashing. They all lie and betray each other under the excuse of getting the money. Eventually, Donna and Eric are the only ones left, and they also have to dine and dash. But they get revenge when they put laxatives in special brownies. This type of episode is the best on any sitcom, as it allows the characters to truly showcase their comedy skills, and in this case, the cast totally nailed it.
2 "Eric's Panties" Is Full of Hilarious Misunderstandings
Season: | Episode: | Title: | IMDb Score: |
---|---|---|---|
3 | 6 | "Eric's Panties" | 8.5 |
From the title of the episode, "Eric's Panties," the audience already knows they're getting something good. Not to worry, the episode isn't literally about Eric's panties, but about a pair of panties Donna finds in the back of his car. This leads her on a hunt to figure out who Eric is cheating on her with.
The whole episode's comedy is based on hilarious misunderstandings. As Jackie figures out that the panties belong to Midge, she thinks Donna's mom had sex with Eric. Later on, Midge interrupts Donna as she confronts Eric to tell her that the panties are hers. This leads Kelso and Fez to believe Eric had sex with Midge. They even kneel in front of Eric, calling him a god. However, the panties were on the Vista Cruiser because Midge had sex with Bob there, to everyone's disgust. This episode has hilarious scene after even more hilarious scene. No matter how many times people watch it, it's still as funny as it was the first time.
1 "Garage Sale" Is the Most Iconic Episode in That '70s Show
Season: | Episode: | Title: | IMDb Score: |

2 | 1 | "Garage Sale" | 8.4 |
Weed makes a common appearance in That '70s Show. The show makes a joke about how common the drug was during this decade. Generally, the gang sits together to smoke, say silly things, and have a good time. In iconic scenes, the camera focuses on each member of the group in succession as they sit in a circle to smoke. Red and Kitty, of course, never approve of this habit.
However, "Garage Sale" is such a popular and funny episode because Kitty and Red, together with Bob and Midge, are finally the ones getting high. In fact, the parents get a circle scene of their own. However, they didn't get high on purpose. When Hyde bakes special brownies, they eat them without realizing what's inside them. Red accidentally sells the Vista Cruiser for $200 while high and the teens suddenly become adults as they babysit their parents, setting the stage for hilarious dialogue.
