INNOCENT PLEAS Richard James Giakovmis, 19, of San Rafael, denied involvement in the theft of $2,270 from the Taveggia Brusati Sport and Saddle Shop in San Rafael June 3. His preliminary hearing was set for Tuesday. John David Anderson, 48, of San Rafael, pleaded innocent to burglary and possessing stolen property taken from the San Rafael apartment of Thomas G. 5. BOUND OVER James Robert Detel, 19, of San Rafael, was ordered to appear Aug. 20 in Marin Superior Court on a charge of burglarizing the Peter R. Mack home in San Rafael July 7. Marc Allan Litchfield, 22, of San Rafael, was ordered to appear in Marin Superior Court today on a charge of concealing stolen property from dozens of burglaries throughout Marin.

(UPD A 22-year-old woman police dispatcher may lose her job because she married one of the officers. Karen Gruber and David Barkdull, 24, were married last July 28. She was scheduled to be fired from the El Segundo Police Department when they returned from their honeymoon Saturday because of a city resolution which prohibits employes in any one city department more closely related than third degree of The City Council has given Karen a 30-day leave of absence while the matter is being resolved. City officials say if Karen is removed from her job she will probably be placed at the top of the hiring list for another position. 375 Evacuate Apartment Fire NEW YORK (UPI) Fire erupted in a six-story brick apartment building Sunday, forcing all 375 residents to evacuate.

Twelve firemen were overcome by smoke and treated at local hospitals. The fire started in a kitchen stove. was just so blazing said Thomas Dregan, one of the evacuated residents. standing there a hundred yards or so away from the fire I felt like I was on fire myself. The smoke was so black and so thick you see a thing, and it was almost impossible to breathe." BART Prepares Daly City Runs SAN FRANCISCO (UPI) The Bay Area Rapid Transit District turned on the 1000-volt third rail of the San Francisco- Daly City line Sunday for the first time.

The line is the last segment of the 75-mile BART system to be electrified. Regular runs are planned on the San Francisco-Daly City line for the rest of the week. Israel Suffers From Pollution TEL AVTV (UPI) antipolluticn council Sunday blamed lax law enforcement for causing traffic jams and noise pollution. David Sivan, secretary general of the Council for the Prevention of Noise and Air Pollution, said police were failing to enforce parking regulations.
